Idea
“Necessity is the mother of invention
Our Beginning
The story began with an adventure of three young mountain biking enthusiasts. They were confident they could complete a 38-mile mountain trek in 5 hours. Unexpectedly, they rode on the shaded uphill side of the mountain for the entire journey. As the night grew darker, they felt cold and exhausted. For the last 16 miles, they could no longer ride and had to push their bikes against the wind. Carl said, “If only we had electric bikes to give us a lift.” The trio couldn’t stop talking about it and had a great time. They decided to upgrade their equipment and challenge themselves again. Unfortunately, this project was suspended due to high costs.
Our Story
FIRST STEPS
By chance, the campus was hosting a competition for technological innovation and entrepreneurship, and the trio of young people gained the favor of the organizing committee with their interesting idea for an electric bike.
Since then, these three founders have been studying electric bikes, and five years later, they formally established their own company called “ENGWE.” They had no idea that eight years later, their electric bikes would be sold worldwide with nearly a million fans.
ENGWE decided to produce electric bikes with more advanced features and a trendier aesthetic while remaining true to the original concept, consistently maintaining a beginner-friendly price and functional design.

What we are doing now is equivalent to planting over 216,520 trees, which can release 10,610 kg of oxygen and absorb 14,507 kg of carbon dioxide every day.
